These Laureate programs give children and adults with language impairment the opportunity to communicate. In the Interactive Communication activity users select a word, phrase or picture to make the computer speak. There are also Picture Matching, Picture Identification and Nouns by Category activities. The software can be used with a single switch, touch screen, mouse or IntelliKeys using the available overlays. These programs provide a rich, interactive environment for language exploration and exchange, while also providing an economical method for training the skills necessary for using an augmentative communication device.
With this program, your student is given the opportunity to expressively use 40 early developing verbs. When your student selects a verb, an animated picture showing the verb action appears on the screen.
